DT-7
DT-7
Semi Synthetic, and Conventional
DT-7 series engine oils are formulated using robust and well balanced additive technology combined with highly stable paraffinic base or synthetic oils where required.
DT-7 series engine oils are designed for use in on-highway or off-highway engines manufactured post 1998 (up to 2002) running on Low Sulphur Diesel (0.5% or 5000 ppm Sulphur content). While the CH-4 service category lacks compatibility with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems, DT-7 series engine oils provide the necessary flexibility in this regard. However, it is not suitable for vehicles with after-treatment devices such as the DPF (diesel particulate filter).
DT-7 series engine oils exert good control over thickening due to soot and viscosity loss due to shearing under load when appropriate SAE grades are chosen.
DT-7 series engine oils are formulated using thermally stable additives making them ideal for off-highway and stationary applications where oxidation due to high heat generation is a concern.
DT-7 series engine oils have an inherent capacity for longer drain intervals, emissions reduction, valvetrain wear protection, corrosion wear protection, high temperature piston deposits, and improved fuel efficiency compared to earlier API service categories such as CG-4 or CF-4.
DT-7 series engine oils have sufficient alkalinity reserves to rapidly neutralizing acidic byproducts and continue to function as intended in absence of high quality diesel fuel (up to 0.5% or 5000 ppm Sulphur content) often the case in off-highway applications in remote locations.
Features:
- Superior wear protection, minimizing the chance of cylinder bore polishing.
- Outstanding thermal stability.
- Excellent detergency which helps to reduce soot and carbon deposition at rings and pistons.
- Delivers reliable performance over a wide range of fuel sulfur content.
- Outstanding control over sludge formation and high and low temperature deposits.
- Increased engine service life, reduced emissions and maintenance costs, and better fuel economy.
- Robust film strength, preventing metal-to-metal contact even during prolonged continuous operation while maintaining optimal lubricity.
